About Us

Larwood School become an Academy in Nov 2016, having clearly established its own pathway that would ensure swift and appropriate care for the young people that it served. It was also rooted in the fact that other service providers were inconsistent in terms of quality of provision, and swift access. In 2018, we were commissioned by DSPL 2 to provide outreach and inreach support for primary schools in Stevenage. In Nov 2019, following the decommissioning of our residential unit, we opened up our ‘school within our school’-The Space Hub. We had noticed the need for some different approaches for our pupils whereby autism seemed to be their main presenting need and therefore we established a 12-place unit for such pupils.  In 2020, we sponsored another local special School –Brandles and this become part of our Trust in February 2020.
